Uzbekistan Zero Exclusion
January 2020
December 2020

In order to address the issue of domestic violence in Uzbekistan, this 12-month project is aimed at enhancing women’s access to shelter and self-employment opportunities in the Samarkand and Bukhara regions. Used as a co-funding for the upcoming EIDHR programme, this project will enable two women CSOs, Rahimdillik in Samarkand and Oydin Nur in Bukhara, to provide safe shelter and psychological, social, legal and medical consultations to 150 women victims of domestic violence. In addition, 100 women will participate in a Reintegration Programme that will include vocational trainings to develop their skills and a series of business and life-skills trainings to foster their empowerment within their households.
