This 9-month project will directly improve the immediate food needs of 4,175 individuals (835 households), while enhancing their long-term resilience and contributing to environment benefits. ACTED will enhance agriculture productivity and sustainability in the targeted locations through the rehabilitation of public water management agricultural infrastructure, improvement of risk reduction actions to reduce the impact of natural and man-made hazards, and reforest public and private. ACTED will train 75 farmers on climate-smart agricultural techniques to increase their agricultural production and self-sufficiency. To increase local self-governance, ACTED will support agricultural organizations and cooperatives through trainings and mentorship activities and will conduct an awareness raising campaign to increase community understanding.
