The overall objective of this project taking place from 01/07/2020 to 31/12/2020 is to further strengthen food systems in Eastern provinces of Afghanistan, by tackling post-harvest losses throughout the wheat value chain, increasing and enhancing households’ nutritional status by engaging female farmers into vegetable production, through supporting existing Self-Help Groups (SHGs). This project will target 1,700 direct beneficiaries (cooperative members, returnee women and host community women), as well as the total 11,900 indirect beneficiaries.
