Thailand Civil society and effective governance
November 2018
June 2021

This 36-month long project will deliver comprehensive vocational training to 400 vulnerable Thai Buddhist and Malay Muslim youth in the southern provinces of Pattani, Narathiwat and Yala.  Five courses will be developed and taught to reflect peer-to-peer methodologies as well as current market trends and youth desires in the region, with additional internship opportunities and small enterprise development trainings providing graduates with practical learning experiences.  Through this approach, this project will seek to enhance the employability of vulnerable youth and facilitate increased trust and collaboration between conflicting groups in order to address key drivers of the region’s ongoing internal conflict.
