This 36-month project, carried out in consortium under the leadership of ACTED, aims to support the urbanization strategy implemented by UNHCR in 7 municipalities in the Diffa region of Niger. 6,000 displaced, returnee, refugee and host households will be supported through multisectoral assistance (community infrastructure, food security, livelihood development, support for peaceful coexistence) to strengthen their resilience and support their sustainable settlement in new urbanized sites. An AGORA component will also seek to strengthen the capacities of local actors and support consultation frameworks between project stakeholders.
