Installation of a water cleaning system in Mykolaiv, in Ukraine

Ukraine Access to Basic Services
July 2022
December 2022

With this intervention, ACTED aims to improve access to water for the population of Mykolaiv, especially following the shelling of city and its key infrastructures by the Russian Federation. As such, ACTED will install a water treating station in Mykolaiv that will provide drinking water to an estimated 1,600 beneficiaries a day. The station will be located inside of the pumping station belonging to the communal utility company “Mykolaivoblteploenergo,” and treat communal water to distribute drinking water. ACTED estimates that it will take 3 months to procure and install the station, subject to change depending on the development of military activities and on availability of materials (equipment previously produced in Ukraine might not be available and need to be procured and delivered from abroad).
