The 12-month project will take place at camp 1E, 3, and 4 of Kutupalong-Balukhali Expansion Site, Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar. ACTED will engage women in camps 3, 4, and 1E to participate in training sessions focused on the production, cleaning, and maintenance reusable sanitary pads.
ACTED will also integrate the produced reusable sanitary pads to menstrual hygiene management kits to be distributed to women and girls in camps, covering for the existing high needs.
ACTED’s WASTE Management brigades will conduct a variety of activities including cleaning campaigns, awareness raising on key hygiene topics. Moreover, ACTED will coordinate with other WASH partners to respond to the gaps and needs, raising awareness, and conducting cleaning campaigns.
ACTED targets a total of 303 beneficiaries for Pad production training, while 39 will be trained to act as waste management brigade volunteers.
