The intervention aims to reduce poverty at national level and to strength the relationship between citizens and the state in urban areas. ACTED is going to offer technical support in 30 communities and 6 Gozars to link between the state and the citizens, support the establishment of inclusive and participatory processes within Community Development Councils (CDC) and Gozar Assemblies. Through capacity building, community planning, profiling and linkages with state institutions, this assistance will engage citizens into multi-stakeholder decision making processes and ensure that infrastructure and social services are responsive to actual community needs. Each community will receive a grant of 70,000 USD and each Gozar will received 200,000 USD for the implementation of the approved subprojects.
