General Food Distribution for refugee population in Camp 6 of Wad Al Mahi county, Blue Nile state

Sudan Inclusive Economic Opportunities
April 2022
December 2022

The population in Blue Nile has experienced acute food insecurity, with refugees fleeing the conflict in Ethiopia and protracted IDPs classified among the most vulnerable categories. This 9-month project thus aims to ensure an improved access to food, nutrition and livelihood opportunities for the refugee population. ACTED will deliver food assistance to 7,058 beneficiaries settled in Camp 6, Wad al Mahi to meet their immediate food gaps. This will ease the tensions over the limited availability of food in the local markets, and tackle the issues of local markets’ accessibility and transportation fees.
