This project, implemented between December 2020 and April 2021, aims to improve livelihoods of the rural population through IWRM in Uzbekistan by supporting the Ministry of Water Resources, as well as farmers and water management organizations to use water resources efficiently and sustainably. Moreover, this project will contribute to enhancing the role of women in the provision, management and safeguarding of water by presenting a deep understanding of gender exclusion factors, identifying gender equality issues to be addressed, advising on a gender mainstreaming program to promote gender equality and providing recommendations for the wider promotion of women empowerment in the water sector of Uzbekistan.
