Lebanon Emergencies and disaster resilience
July 2017
January 2020

This two-year project will be implemented across Lebanon and Jordan. In Lebanon, ACTED will be responsible for rehabilitation water infrastructures and improving WASH facilities in the North of Lebanon, more specifically in the Governorate of Akkar. In addition to rehabilitation works, ACTED will build the capacity of water and waste-water management institutions by assessing their current capacity and helping them develop a tailored Operations and Management Plan. In addition, in each community, WASH committees will be formed and trained to follow up on the maintenance of the project and ensure local hygiene promotion and awareness campaigns. In total, over 100,000 individuals will benefit.
