Approximately 1.1 million people in Turkana and Garissa counties require WASH assistance due to a prolonged drought, cholera outbreak, and recent floods. These challenges have affected WASH in communities, households, and even schools, and healthcare facilities. A WASH in Institutions assessment aims to provide evidence-based information on WASH needs in these areas to inform emergency response efforts. The assessment will target 820 public primary schools and 445 public healthcare facilities in Turkana and Garissa inclusive of the camps and will run for nine months.
