The proposed action is a 6-month emergency response intervention aiming at improving the WASH facilities in health care centers and implementing community-based hygiene programs in order to provide protection to vulnerable Palestinians living in H2 area of Hebron and mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak. Through this project, key sanitation facilities will be rehabilitated in line with SPHERE standards within 4 main healthcare centers, and 21 staff of the 7 health care facilities in H2 will be trained online to ensure the facilities are properly operated and maintained. In addition, the project will provide all the 7 health care facilities operating in H2 with hand-washing stations and cleaning, hygiene and protection kits in coordination with MoH and based on their needs and specifications. Finally, it will raise awareness on hygiene and COVID-19 related topics and will distribute hygiene kits to 500 vulnerable households (2,400 individuals).
