Niger Emergencies and disaster resilience
May 2020
November 2020

Through this 6-month project, ACTED intends to provide an emergency WASH intervention to respond to the needs of the populations displaced following the attacks of the military camps in the Tillabéri region. This project complements ACTED's initial emergency response to the IDP site of Ouallam in January and February 2020 in the framework of the RRM. ACTED will build 50 emergency family latrines, reaching 1,900 people including: 323 men, 391 women, 593 girls and 593 boys. ACTED will carry out hygiene promotion activities through the distribution of soap and the implementation of a waste management system in the IDP site. In the framework of Covid-19 prevention, ACTED will raise awareness on good hygiene practices and will provide DLM kits in one school.
