In AJK, considering the on-ground situation, on 16 January, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Neelum Valley issued a formal directive to appeal for the support of humanitarian actors in providing lifesaving needs to the affected population. In AJK, ACTED plans to engage the local organization, Gomal Damaan Area Water Partnership (GDAWP) for emergency response considering that GDAWP is based in and able to operate in Neelum Valley for the following activities: Distribution of winterization kits (incl. tarpaulins, ropes, blankets, gas cylinder, sleeping mats); Distribution of Hygiene kits from prepositioned NDC stock; Distribution of fodder and feed packages.
