ACTED, through this 8-month project, aims to cover the needs in essential household items (EHI) and shelter of 6,000 of the most vulnerable people affected by the inter-ethnic crisis in the Nyunzu health zone. Cash transfer activities will be preferred to direct distributions for AMEs, accompanied by distributions of dignity kits. For the shelter component, the Cash for Work method will be used for the construction of emergency shelters and the Cash for Shelter method for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of local shelters. Awareness raising on protection, HIV/AIDS, gender and peaceful cohabitation will be organised.
