Emergency livelihood assistance to safeguard food and nutrition security, sustain income and local production of most vulnerable rural families affected by multiple shocks in Afghanistan

Afghanistan Humanitarian Action
July 2022
December 2022

The proposed 4,5-months action will contribute to mitigate the adverse impacts of the crisis on the vulnerable smallholder farming HHs and address food shortages caused by the supply chain disruption in acutely food insecure districts of Nuristan province. As such, ACTED will provide support to sustain local staple food production and supply chains through short term provision of essential agricultural inputs to 5,480 households (wheat seeds, fertilizers [DAP and urea], livestock package) technical training, and the provision of cash-for-work activies and unconditional transfer to beneficiaries
