Emergency livelihood assistance to safeguard food and nutrition security and sustain local production of food among most vulnerable rural families affected by multiple shocks in Afghanistan

Afghanistan Humanitarian Action
August 2022
February 2023

The proposed 9-months action will contribute to mitigate the adverse impacts of the crisis on the vulnerable smallholder farming HHs and address food shortages caused by the supply chain disruption in acutely food insecure districts of Kandahar provinces. As such, ACTED will provide support to 1,460 HHs to sustain local staple food production and supply chains through short term provision of essential agricultural inputs (wheat seeds, fertilizers [DAP and urea], vegetable cultivation kits, livestock feeds, poultry kits and small farming tools) and provision of technical training to beneficiaries.
