Circular Economy National Study in Jordan

Jordan Circular Economy
December 2020
August 2021

ACTED will conduct a country-wide, 8-months long expansive assessment through qualitative and quantitative studies to understand key market potential and investment opportunities to promote circular approaches, and identify environmental and social gains from investing in these sectors. Firstly, ACTED will conduct an assessment of municipalities’ solid waste management processes and formal and informal waste recovery schemes to investigate how to promote efficient processes and decent livelihoods in the field of solid waste recovery at the municipal level. Secondly, a national validation workshop will be organised with key informants to review key data trends and obtain further feedback on strategic opportunities and gaps within circular economy approaches in Jordan.
