CAWI Resilience Programme (CRP) – Implementation phase 2

Pakistan Emergencies and disaster resilience
October 2018
October 2020

CBDRM component of BDRP will be implemented in four disaster affected districts across Pakistan, each partner implementing the same suit of activities in one district (ACTED: Kashmore). CBDRM will assist village communities to become more disaster resilient by supporting them to mitigate and prepare for disasters. Output 1: Target communities have effective disaster risk management structures in place to take up and advocate resilience building measures. Associated activities include the formation of community (CDMCs/VERTs/UERTs/UCFRs). Output 2: Communities and households prepared to (a) cope with climate related natural disasters and (b) adopt risk reduction measures. Activities include CBDRM, shelter/WASH rehabilitation and CLTS. Output3: Target communities and households are introduced to sustainable livelihoods and environmental management practices for resilience building, with activities including on-farm and off-farm livelihood programs.
