Cash assistance to address life-saving shelter needs of the most vulnerable households and to support them in generating income, in the Middle Area, Khan Younis and Rafah governorates

Occupied Palestinian Territory - OPT Humanitarian Action
July 2022
June 2023

Through this 12-month intervention, ACTED will provide an emergency response to the urgent shelter needs of the most vulnerable households living in the Gaza Strip to mitigate the most negative impacts of the May 2021 escalation. The provision of restricted cash transfers aims to ensure that the targeted beneficiaries have their most urgent shelter needs addressed. To help households suffering from the most vulnerable socio-economic conditions, the proposed project is oriented around 1 output:
• The first output will focus on providing vulnerable households in Middle Area, Khan Younis, and Rafah governorates with conditional cash transfers to repair and upgrade their shelters affected by the May 2021 hostilities, purchase Non-Food items (NFIs) when assessed as necessary, and to restore the income-generation opportunities of selected households.
