Cash and Market Analysis Support for the Uganda Refugee Response

Uganda
September 2020
August 2021

Through cash and markets assessment and analysis support, REACH seeks to ensure humanitarian actors have information to understand the feasibility and impact of cash and markets responses, particularly any negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as in-depth data on market dynamics and price fluctuations, in two main areas: continued support, expansion and improvement of the joint market monitoring system, and providing direct technical support to the Cash Working Group. REACH will implement three primary activities during the one year project:
1. Support the joint market monitoring system in partnership with WFP, and through the CWG Market Analysis Task Force (research design, potential data collection, analysis, product development)
2. Conduct ad-hoc cash/market-related assessment (geographically targeted market assessments, and others) on a topic defined by the CWG and/or USAID.
3. Support the CWG to develop an in-depth and regularly updated cash-based interventions 4Ws map.
