Democratic Republic of the Congo Humanitarian Action
January 2021
December 2021

The influx of Central African refugees into northern DRC continues to significantly reduce access to basic resources and services, increasing tensions between refugee and host communities. Through this 12-month project, ACTED will aim to provide an EHA response to 4250 vulnerable people, Central African refugees and host population affected by the crisis in the 3 provinces (North, South-Ubangi and Bas-Uélé) targeted by the project. ACTED will deploy its interventions in the refugee camps through the rehabilitation of hand pumps, the restructuring and revitalization of water management committees, the maintenance of water networks, the construction of family latrines, the organization of EHA sensitization campaigns and the implementation of WASH infrastructures in the transit centers of Central African refugees in a situation of voluntary repatriation.
