Agriculture Value Chain and Market Assessment in Iraq

Iraq Sustainable and inclusive growth
March 2019
May 2020

Throughout this 4,5 month project, REACH will undertake a Nationwide Value Chain Assessment to identify priority needs and interventions associated with the rehabilitation and long-term competitiveness of Iraq’s agricultural sector through an analysis of market linkages and bottlenecks in key value chains. This exercise will be conducted through two phases: a) approximately 2 to 3 weeks of comprehensive desk review and stakeholder mapping exercise; b) approximately one month of primary data collection in the form of key informant interviews (KIIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs), with respondents from all phases of the value chain.
