Addressing the WASH needs of vulnerable households in Syria

Syria Humanitarian Action
January 2020
February 2021

To improve the living conditions of vulnerable conflict-affected households, ACTED will implement a WASH project in Syria. This will ensure that basic needs are addressed at the household level, while also building the resilience of conflict-affected communities. Within the scope of the project, ACTED will operationalize four water supply systems to provide safe water to 29,500 IDPs and host community members. The operationalized water systems will be supported by ACTED for three months and handed over to the local authorities after establishing the local capacities for cost recovery, water quality monitoring, and infrastructure maintenance.
