ACTED Armenia

Since September 27th, widespread military confrontations in the disputed enclave of Nagorno Karabakh (population 150,000) has killed dozens of civilians, injured several 100s, damaged critical civilian infrastructure and displaced residents of cities directly affected by shelling and military activities. Despite 3 cease-fires brokered under international auspices, fighting has only stopped for short periods, forcing people to flee their homes. Reportedly, up to 90,000 people have spontaneously arrived in Armenia. In this context, and to meet the needs of conflict-affected populations, Acted has started to do a first needs assessment to engage in working directly and with local organizations targeting displaced populations living both in collective centers and in host families.

To ensure the presence of Acted in country, launch operations on site and built up a solid structure, Acted is recruiting.
