    Kyrgyzstan - Providing food to vulnerable households in Southern Kyrgyzstan: Last week saw the completion of ACTED’s food distribution programme in Southern Kyrgyzstan in conjunction with World Food Programme. During this four-month project launched in January 2009, wheat flour and oil have been provided to 44, 269 households in the southern oblasts of Batken, Jalalabat and Osh. Through the provision of short-term food aid ACTED has directly contributed to the alleviation of food insecurity in vulnerable communities of Kyrgyzstan.
