Tajikistan - Agricultural product prices on cell phones: ACTED, in partnership with the Tajik company “Subhi Bakhor” which collects market prices, and mobile phone content provider company “Next Style”, have set up a mobile phone market information system for farmers. This system gives farmers up-to-date information on the prices of 42 agro products. This easily accessible data allows over 1 million farmers to better choose which market to send their produce to, in order to maximize profits.
