World Refugee Day: 15.2 million people in the world

On the occasion of World Refugee Day on 20 June, ACTED takes a look back at its interventions aimed at supporting refugees in many countries: South Sudan, Lebanon, Niger, Libya, Afghanistan, etc.
In 2011, 800,000 new refugees added up the the total of vulnerable popluations. To support them, ACTED responds to the basic needs while helping them develop their own livelihoods. ACTED also works up close with host populations, in order to diminish the impact refugees may have on these populations and on their host ground.
