Technical and vocational skills development for Myanmar refugees in Thailand

Over a period of 30 months, ACTED will provide vocational (VT) and skills training in order to prepare Myanmar refugees in Thailand for a possible safe and voluntary return. 1,400 refugees, mainly youth and young adults, residing in two refugee camps along the Thai-Myanmar border, will benefit from 3 VT curricula relevant to access livelihood opportunities in a repatriation context and allowing refugees greater access to the Thai labour market through 2 workshops, as well as from support in CV writing and job interviews, followed by 250 internship opportunities in Myanmar. The project will also pave the way for a formal cooperation agreement between relevant Thai and Myanmar stakeholders.
