Surveillance, Investigation and Response to Cholera

The project, funded by UNICEF with US $ 299,655, aims to combat the upsurge in the cholera outbreak and to eradicate cholera cases in Haiti. It will occur during 6 months, except on the intervention zones of the West, where it will last 3 months. This intervention is part of the cholera eradication operation launched by UNICEF in the Western Department and the Central Lower Plateau. A total of 5,600 households are treated by this emergency response, with 560 outbreaks followed and a cordon of 10 households on average.
