"SOS" fade but ACTED remains mobilized
SOS written on the roofs, walls and roads have already started to fade. In two weeks, those written on the walls will probably be the last and only ones to remain. SOS – SOS – SOS, SOS everywhere, to be seen from the sky, by the satellites precisely. Paradox of a global world, relatively traditional communities have written those huge SOS in order to make the world aware and react. Those SOS were suddenly visible on Google. And now they are disappearing slowly while ACTED remains mobilized to help the populations. Lately, assessments have been conducted in collaboration with the neighborhood committees allowing ACTED to follow the evolution of the situation and to respond to it.
