Six Afghan ACTED staff members killed in Afghanistan

Paris, 27th November 2013 – French aid organisation ACTED confirms the death of six staff members of Afghan nationality in the morning of 27th November. They were ambushed as they were traveling in Faryab province in northwestern Afghanistan. A seventh person part of the team was seriously injured.

We strongly condemn this attack, which is being investigated to determine the precise circumstances of this tragedy. ACTED is determined to shed light on this shocking event.

Today our thoughts go to the families of our murdered colleagues and our collaborator who was injured, as well as to our teams, notably those who pursue their mission in Afghanistan.
