Response to the potable water needs of IDPs in the prefecture of Haut Mbomou and promotion of community recovery by rehabilitating community infrastructure in Ouham and Ouham Pende

To meet the needs of local and displaced populations in the regions of Zemio and Bozoum, ACTED has launched a major program on access to water, sanitation and hygiene targeting 33,000 beneficiaries for a period of 8 months. In Zemio, ACTED will rehabilitate 9 wells and build 12 new wells with pumps, a fresh water source, 256 latrines, 256 showers, 102 toilets and 46 wash houses. In addition, hygiene awareness campaigns and hygiene and sanitation kit distributions will be organized. In Bozoum, ACTED will participate in the construction of four wells on the Bozoum Ouham section and will organize sanitation awareness campaigns in villages benefiting from the project. These various awareness campaigns will be accompanied by hygiene kit distributions.
