Provision of adapted shelter solutions and food assistance to vulnerable flood affected populations of southern Sindh

This 7-month intervention aims to meet the recovery needs of at least 5,500 vulnerable flood-affected families (38,500 individuals) whose homes were destroyed as a result of severe monsoon flooding in Southern Sindh through the provision of 5,500 adaptable, locally appropriate and low-cost shelters, 5,500 tree bundle and vegetable garden kits, as well as training to reduce food insecurity. In order to enhance the future resilience of these beneficiaries and their wider communities, shelter and food security interventions will be complemented by trainings on low-cost and easily transferable disaster risk reduction shelter construction practices and sustainable food production methodologies.
