Providing technical support to producers and tanners of leather products in Balkh Province (GTZ)

This four month project aims at alleviating poverty amongst leather producers in Gozar Haji Naser, Kolhum district, Balkh province, through the promotion of enhanced production techniques and market access. Its activities include the provision of equipment and training to producers, of toolkits to tanners as well as training on cooperatives and on micro finance access. This GTZ-funded project will directly benefit to an estimated 30 leather producers and 150 tanners in a total of 25 factories, improving the income levels of approximately 150 households.
