Project to support structurally very poor populations for the prevention of malnutrition in Senegal

This one-year project aims to cover the basic food needs of 648 households (5,248 individuals) in the Region of Matam in Senegal. It targets individuals at risk of malnutrition (1,202 children aged 6-59 months and 472 pregnant and lactating women). ACTED provides for unconditional cash transfers, distributions of nutritional supplements, sensitization to good food practices, hygiene and health and referencing and follow-up of children (6-59 months) suffering from malnutrition. ACTED will also be involved in the Collective for the Strengthening of Food Security in Senegal.
