Pakistan: Humanitarian community presents humanitarian operational plan on the complex IDP crisis emergency

PESHAWAR [ACTED News] – 169 million USD are required to meet the needs of the complex emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) provinces, Pakistan, according to the humanitarian operational plan presented by the United Nation Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) to donors at the end of May. ACTED took part in the development of this plan alongside the humanitarian community to meet the remaining needs of IDPs and returnees affected by the crisis broiling in FATA and KPK. It is estimated that the overall displacement addressed currently affects 145,000 families, 78,000 of whom are expected to return to their area of origin by the end of the year.
