Mitigating the negative persistent consequences of the Ivorian post-election crisis on food security and livelihoods of the poorest households in Abidjan

The objective of this 7-month project in Abidjan is to support access to food and livelihoods for 16,200 individuals from the poorest households severely affected by the crisis in poor districts by injections of unconditional and conditional cash grants. 200 households will have access to a basket of food and to basic social services such as health through unconditional transfers. The liquidity injected for the purchase of essential goods and food, which will maintain the average number of meals per day and per person above 2.5. The conditional transfers to 1,600 households will enable the economic revitalization of their neighborhoods by the resumption of business activities.
