Kyrgyzstan: Home reconstruction for the most vulnerable families
OSH [ACTED News] - ACTED began facilitating the reconstruction of 512 houses that were partially or completely destroyed as a result of the violence which took place in the South of Kyrgyzstan in June 2010. ACTED placed a particular focus on supporting the most vulnerable households, such as those that were female-headed or possessed handicapped persons etc. ACTED had facilitated the reconstruction and rehabilitation of all of the houses, allowing those who had lost their homes to resume their lives as normal. This project is supported by the Asian Development Bank, and was led in cooperation with the State Directorate Reconstruction and Development.
