The 19 WASH committees representatives of Village 3 received the toolboxes for the maintenance of the grey water network. In addition, ACTED distributed to all beneficiary households plungers for basic maintenance and unclogging.

The construction works of the grey water network took place between 20th November 2017 and 8th February 2018 with the help of 140 Incentive-Based Volunteers . Thanks to this infrastructure, now over 9,000 Syrian refugees living in Village 3 of Azraq camp have access to a safe disposal mechanism for grey water produced inside their shelters which leads to a cleaner and healthier environment.

Grey water represents all the waste water produced at household level excluding black water from toilets. Grey water might result from handwashing, showering, washing the dishes or clothes.
