Food assistance for Nigerian refugees, Chadian returnees and internally displaced persons in the Lake Chad region

The 7-month project “Food assistance for Nigerian refugees, Chadian returnees and internally displaced persons in the Lake Chad region” aims to provide food and nutrition assistance to 42,835 displaced persons in the Lake Chad region, including 3,056 children between 6 – 23 months who were identified among these populations. The objective of the project is to fight against food insecurity and infantile and maternal malnutrition, caused by the Boko Haram crisis in Nigeria. For this purpose, ACTED teams ensure livelihoods distribution in 24 displaced persons sites identified by World Food Programme in the sous-prefecture of Kangalam, Liwa and Daboua in the Kaya Department and Foulih Department.
