Emergency rehabilitation of agricultural assets in Southern Gaza

In response to the high levels of damage incurred to agricultural regions of Southern Gaza during the 2014 conflict, this 6 month project funded by OCHA HPF aims to rehabilitate damaged agricultural assets (such as water carrier lines and water ponds), provide agricultural inputs and restore the productive capacities of vulnerable farmers to enhance their food security and livelihood resilience. The intervention targets 1,695 direct beneficiaries (282 households) and will be implemented in partnership with local NGO ACAD. Furthermore, 5 Community Based Agriculture Committees will be established to ensure the quality and sustainability of the project after the implementation period.
