Emergency assistance for 10,000 people in Port-au-Prince

The humanitarian needs folowing the earthquakes that shook Port-au-Prince are huge. The response of ACTED was immediate and diverse. The ACTED teams in Haiti are already taking part in emergency assistance and additional staff will join them on January 15. 1,000 shelter and first aid kits will be sent by airplane to respond to the needs of 10,000 disaster victims. In Haiti since 2004, ACTED teams have notably responded to the Gustav and Ike hurricane emergencies, in the summer of 2008.
