Civil Society Organisations in Development: Improving access to information of public schemes in backward districts in India

This four-year project aims at improving access to information of public schemes and initiatives in backward districts of North East India and will benefit to 665,000 households, by providing 370 local authorities and service providers with trainings on service delivery; making 10 selected schemes more inclusive through gender and minority audits, and publishing their impact; advocating for best practices during 8 multi-stakeholder workshops; institutionalizing 7 District and 1 Regional fora; developing and implementing 7 District Action Plans (DAPs); enhancing 5 selected schemes in each of the 7 districts; making 35 Common Service Centers (CSC) and 1 phone based-alert system on key schemes operational and establishing citizen feedback mechanisms on service delivery from 5,280 Citizen Volunteers and CSCs from 200 Villages.
