The project takes place in the Karamoja region, in the districts of Napak and Nakapiritpirit. It focusses on training to improve agricultural production, and encourages farmers to purchase improved household storage equipment, subsidized by WFP. The training topics include: agronomy, post-harvest handling and storage, farming as a business, marketing, and store management. The project targets 2,000 small-holder farmers in the region, and the project will last for 12 months.
