ACTED staffs provide food to over 200,000 conflict-affected populations in Osh

On 21 July, ACTED finalized the 1st phase of blanket food distributions to support the population of Osh, where 2,000 houses were destroyed in June as a result of violent outbreaks between communities. ACTED began distributing wheat flour, vegetable oil and high energy biscuits supplied by the World Food Programm (WFP) immediately after the fighting. Since, ACTED has provided over 200,000 people with 1,120 tons of food, throughout 9 affected districts in Osh City. A 2nd set of food distributions will be launched in Osh before the end of July. In addition, ACTED has been carrying out targeted food distributions in Jalalabat, which was also strongly affected by the recent conflict.
