ACTED completes assessment of Cash Transfer Programme in Marawi crisis

Committed to continue to support the 360,000 people who remain displaced by the Marawi crisis, ACTED has conducted an assessment of the area, market and people displaced in order to effectively implement a cash transfer programme.

As the violence persists, people are unable to return to their homes and continue their livelihood activities. Emergency relief sources are becoming exhausted as the emergency response enters its third month. Thereby, the need for unconditional cash transfers to meet the immediate needs of beneficiaries has become increasingly relevant. It modality of assistance gives people the possibility to purchase the goods and services needed for their family.
