50,000 rural reconstruction projects funded by the NSP

 The NSP (National Solidarity Programme) is the major rural development programme in Afghanistan, implemented since 2003 and benefiting 19 million Afghans in the rural areas. Ziggy Garewal, ACTED country director in Afghanistan, presents the main achievements, challenges and future prospects for the NSP in the latest edition of "Nouvelles d'Afghanistan" (n°127), published by the French NGO AFRANE. ACTED facilitates NSP in nearly 8% of the communities, working in five Provinces and nineteen Districts in the North of the country.
