This 9 month project, cofinanced by the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid Office, intervenes in a war-affected area. 12,000 people, coming from Kilinnochchi, Mannar, Vavuniya and/or Mulaitivu, are expected to directly benefit from the implementation of the proposed action. The action is particularly focused on water provision, toilet construction, installation of bathing/washing facilities and hygiene education. 20 wells will be improved/cleaned and 15 tube wells will be installed, 215 emergency latrines will be constructed as well as 55 bathing/washing facilities. Hygiene training sessions will be organised to arise community’s awareness on the subject.
